Warm air heating is an efficient method of heating wide ranging applications from retail stores and warehouses, to leisure centres, sports halls, public buildings and churches.

Where comfort and economy are priorities, Reznor warm air heaters offer an ideal solution. In addition to cost effective heating, the units may also provide fresh air ventilation and some may be fitted with a cooling coil to deliver chilled air into a building.

Technological advances


The product range includes the next-generation warm air heating unit, the V3, a lightweight compact heater that delivers exceptional heat performance and energy efficiency, achieved through the use of a radically new titanium stabilised aluminised steel heat exchanger and advanced burner technology. Available both as a horizontal and a downflow unit, the V3 offers a versatile heating solution, making it particularly useful in difficult to heat areas such as warehouses with high racking.

Other products in the range include internal condensing warm air heaters, roof or wall suspended units, external heaters and high efficiency floor-standing heaters.

Reznor also offers Air Mixing® and Smitsair® induction systems that enhance the energy efficiency of the heating units. Air Mixing ducts are strong pvc ‘socks’ that span the length of a building, suspended from the roof or ceiling. The duct has thousands of tiny perforations through which warm air is forced at constant velocity, forcing an instant mix with room air and even distribution throughout the space.

Smitsair® induction nozzle systems offer fast warm up and even heat distribution in any type of building, from warehouses and factories to shops and office complexes. The system uses a Reznor central air-handling unit ducted to a Smitsair® plenum box. The plenum box houses nozzles through which warm air can be delivered at high velocity in various directions, enabling optimum air distribution in large open space premises.

The engineered solution


A considerable proportion of Reznor’s work involves engineering bespoke heating solutions for atypical applications. Engineered solutions can, in some cases, offer higher efficiency than some standard models.

Engineered heating schemes can include heaters complete with a range of optional extras such as filters, modulating burners, dampers, discharge heads, cooling coils, re-circulation fans and so on, to meet the precise comfort levels required.

Additionally, a Reznor engineered solution will include the provision of other critical information, subject to the requirements of the building, such as heat loss calculations, schematic drawings, flue design, the suitability of types of control equipment and the optimum positioning for the equipment.
